Garmisch, Germany

German hats.
Steve would love to get one of these "sweet rides" to drive to work.
Carving of the last supper.
German attire.
These flowers were incredible!

Germans are well known for their talent of wood carving. Here are some nativity pieces.
This was a cool carving. I liked the baby at the top.
Now, why does our van stick out?
I love this picture!

This is a famous house.....I can't remember the name? Obviously not that famous.
German woodworking bench.

Christmas Store.
Nutcracker photo.

Chase in the outdoor hot tub.
The lobby was beautiful.

We had such an awesome trip to Germany! It was very relaxing and the weather was perfect! We loved staying at the military resort; enjoying American food, watching the Olympics, all while sightseeing in Europe. One of the highlights was the Neuchanstein Castle. This is the castle that inspired Walt Disney for the architecture of his princess castle. Courtney and I.
The kids.
You see these signs everywhere in Germany. Ausfahrt means exit.

We took a carriage ride up to the castle which was fun. The kids were trying not to laugh because the horses were quite gassy on the trip up. Kaycie loved seeing the horses.
The view from the top was unbelievable! I was wishing I had a better camera to capture it.
Entrance to Neuchanstein's Castle.
German pretzel.
Great picture.

My finger fits perfectly in this hole.
Courtney stepped on a bee at the hotel pool. Her foot did not look very good and we almost had to take a trip to the doctor.
Princess talk.
I had Autumn wear her princess dress to get a couple pictures. This one turned out cute I thought.
Courtney was tired of walking with her lame foot.

Steve looks like a native German in this hat.
Neuchanstein above.
Standing in one of the castle doors.
Let us in!
Beautiful view.

Best Buddies.
German menu with translation.
Castle view.
German cuties.
Horse and carriage ride.

Most German homes have some kind of mural painted on them.
We went to Pizza Hut to eat for lunch. I was just salivating thinking about it. Unfortunately, it didn't taste like it does at home, and no breadsticks which are my favorite. Oh-well, it was still fun.
The girls posing for a photo.
Neuchanstein castle in Bavaria (Germany).
Another Bavarian castle view.

Germany is beautiful!
Sepia shot of Courtney licking gelato downtown Garmisch.

We had an awesome trip to Eidelweiss Resort in Garmisch, Germany. This is a military resort available to Active Duty and Retirees. The American breakfast buffet was enjoyed by all! We loved it!!
I always appreciate the beautiful flowers!
German village shot.
Chase and I rode this tandem bike. It was alot of fun.
Great picture of the kids with the peak behind them. It was a perfect day for a bike ride.

Looks like you guys had a great time. That place is on our list. You'll have to come to England. Pizza hut here is just like at home, except a little fancier and more expensive, of course.

I loved the pictures...we want to go there so bad! What great memories you are making!!! I loved the "fart" signs. When I was on my mission in Sweden we signs all the time that said "farthinder" which meant speed bump, or slow down...so funny for us Americans! Hope you are doing well, we miss you guys!
